June 4 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
The 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit builds on putting together two successful conferences in the area of telecommunications: EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications), supported by the European Commission, and the 6G Summit, originated from the 6G Flagship programme in Finland, one of the very first in its area.
Digital for Planet is proud to join the special session “Towards a Sustainable and Socially Accepted 6G for Society” within the context of the 6G4Society Project and in collaboration with the FIDAL and BroadEU.Net projects.
As we transition to 6G technology, it is imperative to recognize the need to integrate societal and environmental considerations into its development, learning from the lessons learned from the roll-out of 5G. This Special Session will serve as a platform to engage stakeholders in meaningful conversations about the main challenges and priorities related to societal and environmental sustainability in the context of 6G. Through presentations, discussions, and feedback sessions, participants will contribute to shaping the future of 6G R&I, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
The main objectives of this special session are to
Engage 6G stakeholders to actively participate in the conversation about societal and sustainability main challenges and priorities.
Present the work and activities of relevance undertaken by the three projects organising the session and others in the broader scene.
Gather input and feedback from the participants on the perception of 6G related to the topics of the environment, health, KVIs, etc.
